Koffee With Karan 8: Bobby Deol reveals how Salman Khan helped him with 'Race 3' during his low phase

One of the most-loved celebrity talk shows, Koffee with Karan is finally back with its eighth season and has already created a lot of buzz among the audience. With its maiden episode premiering with the power couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, the show made a banger start. Now, in its second episode, Karan Johar is all set to welcome one of the most popular sibling duos, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol on the couch. As the trio gets into an Interesting conversation, Bobby Deol will be seen opening up about how Salman Khan helped him during the low phase of his career with an opportunity in his film, Race 3. He also shared how they affectionately call each other ‘Mamu’. According to the latest promo, Bobby Deol will be seen speaking about his friendship with Salman Khan. He recounted how the Bollywood’s ‘Bhaijaan’ once told him, “Dekh jab mera career thik nahi chal raha tha, main tere bhai ke peeth pad chad gaya tha, main aage badha, main Sanjay Dutt ke peeth par chad gaya, main aage badha. (See when my career was going low, I got on your brother’s back and moved forward. I got on Sanjay Dutt’s back and moved forward).” The _Animal_ actor also shared how they call each other ‘Mamu’ further recalling how he told Salman, “Mamu, toh mujhe tere peeth par chadhne de na. (Mamu, then let me climb on your back now)” The actor further noted that this is how he got a call from the Dabangg actor a few years later for a role in Race 3 as Salman called him and asked if he was willing to remove his shirt. https://twitter.com/veer__666/status/1718866021199863989 Bobby Deol recalls the low phase of his career Besides, Bobby Deol also took a trip down recalling the tough phase in his career and his drinking addiction. “I used to self-pity and curse myself. I got into drinking a lot. I used to sit at home. It was one day my son asked my wife ‘Papa sits at home and you go to work every day’. This is when I got a wake-up call and started making efforts to come out of the negative frame of mind,” the actor said. While the promo has just given a sneak peek into the upcoming episode, it is expected to be a lot more entertaining as the Deol brothers will engage in heartfelt and fun discussions about their personal as well as professional lives. They will also open up on the much-talked-about “kiss scene” of father Dharmendra in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The new episode of Koffee with Karan 8 is all set to go on air on 2 November on Disney+Hotstar.
