Ridhi Dogra on being moved by Deepika Padukone’s kind gesture
In the latest conversation, Ridhi Dogra told the entertainment news portal how Deepika Padukone arrived on the set one day with her entire team and they were all seated together behind the monitor. As shooting progressed, the actress and her team indulged in ‘banter’ while Dogra, who wanted to respect their privacy, chose to sit behind them.
As Deepika Padukone noticed this, she quietly moved her chair to sit with The Married Woman star instead. The actress further continued how she was deeply touched by her solidarity and gratitude. She added, “I could see from my peripheral vision that Deepika had pulled her chair back to sit in the same line as me. It was a very small thing, but it spoke very highly of her. I was deeply touched by her solidarity and gratitude that we are actors together.”
Ridhi Dogra, who plays Kaveri, a kind policewoman who adopts Azad Rathore, the son of Captain Vikram Rathore (SRK’s character) and his wife, Aishwarya, had most of her scenes with King Khan and Deepika Padukone. On playing SRK’s mother

I said no to the idea of playing a mother onscreen because I love Shah Rukh Khan so much and was in two minds about this. I mean, ‘It’s SRK’,” Dogra said. However, eventually, she took up the role and the rest is history.
