Jawan box office: Shah Rukh Khan starrer beats Pathaan, Baahubali 2 & Gadar 2 to become the fastest Rs 500 crore grosser

Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan is in no mood to slow down at the box office. The massy-actioner continued its phenomenal run in its third weekend despite few new releases at the box office. The film raked in around Rs 15 crore in its Hindi version yesterday and currently stands with a grand total of Rs 507 crore. It has now become the fastest entrant to the Rs 500 crore club (18 days) by beating _Gadar 2_ (24 days), Pathaan (28 days) and Baahubali 2 - Hindi (34 days). While the arrival of Fukrey 3 and The Vaccine War this weekend will affect its business at the box office, it will eventually surpass the business of Pathaan (Rs 543.05 crore) to emerge as the top Bollywood grosser of all time.

In a recent press meet, SRK spoke about his second blockbuster and said,  “I want to tell you what Jawan is to all of us so listen to me carefully because I genuinely feel this”. Jawan is an Indian soldier and you have to understand that Jawan is many times very weak because he is all of us and many times he is ready for a fight. Jawan is many times wrong, but many many times he is also right ” Directed by Tamil filmmaker Atlee, the film also features Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Lehar Khan, Eijaz Khan and Sunil Grover along with a cameo from Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt.
