Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' beats Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan' at the box-office; will 'Jawan' take over?

Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 released on August 11 and clashed with three other major films at the box-office- Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2, Rajinikanth’s Jailer, and Chiranjeevi’s Bhola Shankar. Despite lesser screens and shows, the film has trumped Shah Rukh Khan’s _Pathaan_ at the box-office. Gadar 2 currently stands at Rs 513 crore at the box-office whereas Pathaan made Rs 512 crore in its lifetime. With Khan’s another blockbuster Jawan slowly inching towards the 500-crore mark, let’s see if it can surpass Deol’s film or not. The rampage continues as Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel was in no mood to slow down at the box office. The massy actioner enjoyed a humongous second weekend and continued its dominance by raking in Rs 13.50 crore yesterday. It emerged as the 3rd highest second Monday grosser of all time after Tiger Zinda Hai and Baahubali 2 beating  _Dangal_, Pathaan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. In my life, I’ve always walked on the path of truth and that’s the most difficult thing to do.” He added, “But when you attain success, you do feel very good about it. When this film released, I realised I’ve God’s blessings. I was crying and happy at the same time. I met my father that day, I told him that I’m very happy and going crazy”
