Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming Shah Rukh-Anushka-starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal’s new song is out. The song is called ‘Butterfly’ and is a typical desi-Punjabi song that shows the Harinder side of Shah Rukh’s character Harry.
Khan’s character Harry takes a departure from being the tharki, kharaab character of a tour guide in Europe to India’s pind da munda donning a pagdi (turban) and looking convincingly every bit of a Punjabi.
The song also features Anushka aka Sejal in a traditional Punjabi avatar, dancing to the tunes of Bhangda in the most-quintessentially-Punjabi settings.
The duo are seen dancing in village farms of Punjab, over a hay stack, with colourful clothing and many background dancers. The teaser ends with both of them doing Sejal’s hand-wave movement.
Sony Music India took to Twitter on 12 July to unveil the Butterfly song teaser. They asked people to tweet using #ButterflyTeaser in order to unlock the teaser.
