India is celebrating the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi today, 19 September. Also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and Ganeshotsav, Ganesh Chaturthi is a prominent Hindu festival celebrated to mark the birth of Lord Ganesha. The deity is associated with good fortune, wealth and wisdom. Catching on to the festive fever, several members of the entertainment industry welcomed Bappa to their home. Shilpa Shetty Just like every year, Shilpa Shetty welcomed Lord Ganesha to her house. The actress was recently seen taking the Ganpati idol home with her husband Raj Kundra. She opted for a bottle-green Anarkali suit, along with a multi-coloured striped dupatta as her festive attire.
Ram Charan RRR actor Ram Charan celebrated his first Ganesh Chaturthi with his 3-month-old adorable daughter Klin Kaara Konidela. The little bundle of joy received a warm welcome from her grandparents, Chiranjeevi and Surekha, on the auspicious occasion. Dropping sneak peeks of the celebration on Instagram, Ram Charan and his better half Upasna wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to ALL ! Celebrating the First Festival with the little ‘klin Kaara’ this year!!”
Allu Arjun The Pushpa star Allu Arjun also took to the story section of his Instagram account and dropped a picture of the beautiful Ganesh idol at his home. He further shared a video where his daughter Allu Arha can be seen performing Ganesh pooja. Mahesh Babu Tollywood heartthrob Mahesh Babu and his family welcomed an eco-friendly Ganesh idol to their house this year. He shared a photo of Bappa on social media and wrote, “Wishing you all a happy Ganesh Chaturthi! May the year ahead be guided by the wisdom of Lord Ganesha.”
Anushka Sharma Bollywood star Anushka Sharma is also gearing up to welcome Bappa to her home. She used Instagram story to share that she has been moving furniture to prep for the festivities. The diva dropped a selfie from the gym and wrote, ‘When you got to move furniture around for Ganpati and gym is the only place." Dhanush Versatile actor Dhanush also wished the internet on Ganesh Chaturthi. He took to his official Instagram account and shared a picture where he is seen celebrating the festival with his sons Yatra and Linga. The three can be seen sitting in front of an idol of Ganesha and praying together.
