Off late, there were several reports claiming that Marquess and his wife Rose Hanbury, who happen to be Prince and Princess of Wales Kate Middleton’s neighbours, were in possession of Chinese artifacts that turned out to be stolen. There some clarification on the matter after a statement was issued.

The statement was issued by Houghton Hall, a lavish mansion built for Britain’s first Prime Minister and housing a collection of model soldiers. All this happened after of pictures of the Grade I listed house went viral on social media. And the statement has clarified the artifacts people have pointed out in the pictures were actually acquired by the Walpole family, which is Houghton’s original proprietors during the rule of Qing Dynasty.
