As per a News18 report, the court said in its ruling that “activities promoting peace, harmony, and tranquillity, including arts, music, sports, culture, and dance, transcend national boundaries and contribute to unity and harmony within and between nations.”

Why the ban was imposed

It was back in 2016, when the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA) made the resolution of not working with the Pakistani artists after the Uri attack.

Fawad Khan on working in Bollywood

Speaking to Variety last year, while speaking about the possibility, the Khoobsurat and Kapoor and Sons actor stated, “I think it’s more of a question of whether someone else would like to work with me, instead of me working with others, because fingers will be pointed at them. I’ll do my work and go away but then the people who’ll have to suffer are those who want to collaborate with me. And I care about them because they are going to live there, and they’re going to suffer the consequences.”
