The legendary actress Sridevi passed away in 2018 at the age of 54 due to accidental drowning. Five years later, Friends star Matthew Perry passed away at the age of 54 due to drowning. The similarities were noticed by quite a few people on social media. Here are some reactions:

Matthew Perry ’s death The Emmy-nominated actor was found dead of an apparent drowning at his Los Angeles home, according to the Los Angeles Times and celebrity website TMZ, which was the first to report the news. Both outlets cited unnamed sources confirming Perry’s death. Perry’s publicists and other representatives did not immediately respond to messages from The Associated Press seeking comment. Asked to confirm police response to what was listed as Perry’s home address, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told AP that officers had gone to that block “for a death investigation of a male in his 50s.” Sridevi ’s death Back in 2018, IANS reported diplomatic sources as saying that the Dubai Police had transferred the case to Dubai Public Prosecution following revelation that she died due to “accidental drowning” in her hotel room. Later, a Dubai Police forensic report stated that 54-year-old Sridevi died due to “accidental drowning” in the bathtub of her hotel room here before her dinner date with husband and film producer Boney Kapoor. This development came a day after media reported that she had died due to a cardiac arrest. Another twist came with the mention in the forensic report of traces of alcohol in her blood — with some media reports claiming that it was found to have been at “elevated levels”.
