“I think people do it because they have a need to reduce films into two kinds of slots. Aashiqui 2 and Saiyaara are two radically different films. In fact, Saiyaara broke away from the entire stranglehod of Aashiqui franchise and I am so happy for Mohit (Suri), who is my own child. And this particular film comes from Suhrita and the resonance of this film is different and distinct. And if you are liking the trailer because it has the truth in it. There is no baggage as the budget of the film is so moderate unlike other films, which are far more costly,” said Mahesh Bhatt.
On the other hand, Das emphasized that the storytelling of her movie is not dependent on the mentioned films and said, “We are very confident that Tu Meri Poori Kahani is unique. It’s storytelling is not at all depended on comparison with any of the films. And once the audience comes into the theatre and once they watch the story, they will get the essence to be completely unique and independent.”
Starring Hirranya Ojha, Arhaan Pateel, Shammi Duhan, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Juhi Babbar, Avtar Gill and, Uday Chandra in prominent roles, the music of Tu Meri Poori Kahani is composed by Anu Malik while the lyrics & dialogues are penned by Shweta Bothra.
