'Dunki is done and very beautiful': Shah Rukh Khan is all praises for Rajkumar Hirani directorial

Shah Rukh Khan, whose last action-thriller Jawan earned over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office, is gearing up for his next, Dunki. Recently, King Khan got some free time to organise another round of ‘Ask SRK’. On Wednesday, as part of the conversation on X, his fans asked him several questions. Just like always, Bollywood’s Baadshah had his witty answers ready for them all. During one such question about his next release, SRK was asked “How is Dunki shaping up sir ji?” To which, the _Jawan_ star said that the Rajkumar Hirani film is “done and very beautiful. A little like life itself!!” Take a look:

Another fan while confirming if the film’s release date is fixed or not, asked Shah Rukh Khan, “Dunki ki release date fixed h na? #AskSRK” To this, King Khan replied, "#DunkiFixed hi hai. Aur kya karoon Maathe pe gudwa loon!!!!"

_Dunki_ is being produced by Jio Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment and Rajkumar Hirani Films. It stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Taapsee Pannu, Boman Irani, Vicky Kaushal and Satish Shah among others. A comedy film, Dunki is slated to premiere in December around Christmas and New Year. Among the key places where the film has been shot include London, Budapest, Jeddah and Neom.

The film’s plot revolves around the use of an illegal backdoor route called ‘Donkey Flight’ by Indians, in order to immigrate to countries like Canada and the USA.

According to Pinkvilla, the film is set to hit the big screens in international markets a day before its already announced date of 22 December. This will help promoters reap the benefits of the extended holiday period.

Earlier, reports were also rife about the film’s postponement since it would be Shah Rukh Khan’s third film in the same year. However, at a Jawan event a few days back, SRK put all speculations to rest saying Dunki will release by the end of the year.

Work wise, Shah Rukh Khan has had an extraordinary year so far. His two releases, Jawan and Pathaan, have become the most successful films in Hindi cinema’s history.
