Mumbai Police has arrested a staff member of Breach Candy Hospital for leaking a private moment of the Deol family inside the intensive care unit (ICU). The video surfaced online earlier and instantly went viral on social media.
In the video, Dharmendra can be seen lying on a hospital bed, surrounded by visibly emotional sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, as well as grandsons Karan Deol and Rajveer Deol. Dharmendra ’s first wife, Prakash Kaur, is seen seated beside him. Since the nature of the video was deeply personal, the footage sparked outrage among fans as they condemned the violation of the family’s privacy.
The hospital employee who secretly filmed and leaked the video on social media has been identified and arrested as per the HT City report. To ensure accountability and stricter privacy measures going forward, the hospital management is cooperating with the officials and authorities.
On 12th November, Dharmendra’s family released an official statement after his discharge from the hospital, which read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”
Yesterday, Sunny Deol slammed the paparazzi gathered outside his residence. Folding his hand, he told them, “Aap logon ko sharam aani chahiye, aapke ghar mein ma-baap hai. Aapke bachche hain, sharam nahi aati? (Don’t you have mothers and fathers at home? Constantly sharing the videos. Don’t you guys have shame?)”
Dharmendra will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, starring Jaideep Ahlawat, Deepak Dobriyal, Agastya Nanda, and Simar Bhatia. The film is set to hit the screens on 25th December.
