The legendary and veteran Bollywood actor, Dharmendra, was discharged today (Wednesday) from the hospital. The 89-year-old actor was admitted there for some tests, which were not disclosed by the family and hospital authorities.
“ Dharmendra ji was discharged from the hospital around 7:30 am. He will be treated at home as the family has decided to give him home treatment,” Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy hospital, under whom the actor was admitted, told PTI.
However, on 11th November, during his treatment, conflicting reports emerged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where several reports said that the actor passed away on Tuesday. Throughout Monday and Tuesday, the actor’s family members and Bollywood celebs were seen visiting the hospital including Hema Malini, Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Esha Deol, and Tanya Deol, along with Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda and Ameesha Patel.

Taking to X, Hema Malini slammed media channels for spreading false news and wrote, “What is happening is unforgivable! How can responsible channels spread false news about a person who is responding to treatment and recovering? Please give due respect to the family and its need for privacy.”
Esha Deol also shared a statement bashing the death rumours and posted, “The media seems to be in overdrive and spreading false news. My father is stable and recovering. We request everyone to give our family privacy. Thank You for the prayers for Papa’s speedy recovery. Esha Deol.”
Sunny Deol’s update after Dharmendra’s discharge from the hospital
After Dharmendra’s discharge from the hospital, Sunny Deol shared an update on his health through his team on social media.
Urging everyone to respect the family’s privacy during this time, the note read, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time.”
“We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you,” read the statement further.
