Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in two separate ceremonies at Italy’s picturesque Lake Como on
14 and 15 November . Their wedding guests were not allowed to carry cellphones and the newly weds released several photographs much after the proceedings got over. India Today, “Privacy was secondary. The reason we asked our guests not to have cell phones was because we wanted them to be present in the moment. Usually, everyone is on their cell phones, capturing the moment. These moments should be in your mind and heart as they’re never going to come back. Every single guest, I kid you not, is so thankful.” She added that every guest was emotionally present and did not have a choice but to talk to each other. As they had an intimate wedding, with mostly family, she said that they understood where the couple was coming from. Following their wedding in Italy, the couple hosted a wedding reception in Deepika’s hometown Bengaluru and two more in Mumbai for their friends and colleagues from the film fraternity. On the work front, the actress, who was last seen opposite Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat , is gearing up for Meghna Gulzar’s
_Chhapaak_ . The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal and also stars Vikrant Massey. In an interview, she had also confirmed that she was developing a
superhero project .
