Critics' Choice Film Awards 2020 nominations: Gully Boy, Article 15 compete for best film; Nivin Pauly, Mammootty get best actor nods

Critics' Choice Film Awards will honour films from across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati and Kannada language.

Critics' Choice Film Awards 2020 nominations: Gully Boy, Article 15 compete for best film; Nivin Pauly, Mammootty get best actor nods

While the first edition of Critics' Choice Film Awards witnessed the best film category for varied languages, for the second season the makers have upped the ante by introducing Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Film as well as Best Writing across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati and Kannada.

This year, India's official entry to Oscars 2020 Gully Boy has scored a nod for the Best Film category. Abhishek Chaubey's underappreciated dacoit drama Sonchiriya is also nominated in various categories.

Virus, Unda, Helen, Jallikattu, Kumbalangi Nights are nominated in the Best Malalyam Film category. National Award winning Gujarati movie Hellaro has secured nominations for best film, actor, writing among others.

Critics' Choice Film Awards 2020 will take place on 14 March.
