Copy cats: Everyone is trying to copy Ellen's Oscar selfie

Ellen DeGeneres’ Oscar selfie with Bradley Hooper, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Kevin Spacey, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Jared Leto has sparked a selfie frenzy online. Now the original tweet by Ellen did become the most retweeted Tweet of all time, beating Obama’s 4 more years tweet. Ellen’s selfie has been retweeted 3,287,356 times for now, while Obama’s was just around 781,735.

Thanks to Ellen’s Oscar selfie everyone is going in the fun. From memes with Grumpy Cat to Kevin Spacey and Nicholas Cage replacing everyone’s face, the Oscar selfie is the latest crazy.

Lego tweeted out a cutie of Oscar selfie with all the stars, but in Lego form. Then the Simpson show joined in, with their own version with all the stars looking like characters from the show. The best bit in the Simpsons selfie: you can see Bradley Hooper stomping on Home Simpson’s head who’s trying to get into the selfie.

In the Grumpy Cat version, the cat replaces Bradley Cooper and obviously is not very happy about this. And then of course, Nicholas Cage’s face has replaced everyone elses. Then, Jimmy Kimmel and Kevin Spacey tried to break Ellen’s record by sending out their own selfie.

One of the cutest selfies we saw was by an old man in Texas who took one with his two little dogs in the background.
