The Bombay High Court has reserved the order on the plea submitted by Rhea Chakraborty in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case. The Jalebi actress moved the court requesting that the Look Out Circular issues against her by the CBI be quashed. This also includes her father and brother. Last year in December, Rhea approached the Bombay High Court seeking suspension of a Look Out Circular (LOC) issued against her. She had stated she needed to travel to Dubai for professional commitments. The Central Bureau of Investigation had opposed relief being granted to the ‘Jalebi‘ actress. Chakraborty has been facing prosecution in a drugs case following the death of her then-boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput on June 14, 2020. Her advocates Abhinav Chandrachud and Prasanna Bhangale told the court the CBI did register a FIR against the actress but never summoned her and nothing has happened in the case for the last few years. The bench of Justices Ajay Gadkari and Shyam Chandak asked them if the actress traveled abroad in these last few years. Advocate Shreeram Shirsat, appearing for CBI, said the FIR was filed in Patna and the case was being investigated by CBI in Delhi, outside the court’s jurisdiction. The next hearing is on December 20. Rhea on her jail term Rhea Chakraborty has faced several criticisms on her personal front after the demise of actor Sushant Singh Rajput back in 2020. The actress was in the Byculla jail for 28 days on charges of procuring drugs for the late actor. She said, “I experienced a unique kind of love and resilience within those women. They found happiness in small things. They grabbed happiness when they got it. They know how to enjoy a moment, and they are some of the happiest people I have met.”
