Iulia Vantur walks the ramp at Lakme Fashion Week 2017: See photos of showstopping turn

Romanian TV presenter Iulia Vantur, who has been in the news for her rumoured relationship with Salman Khan, walked as a showstopper for the fashion brand Splash’s latest line on Day 3 of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2017, in Mumbai.

Iulia modelled a short, embellished dress and seemed confident during her first ramp walk in India. Actor Karishma Tanna also walked the ramp along with Iulia, for the brand.

Recently, the actress-singer and model has been more visible at red carpet events. In January this year, Iulia finally stepped into the spotlight with the Colors Sansui Stardust Awards 2017. Dressed in a figure-hugging red evening gown, Iulia had presented an award to Karan Johar for Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. She was escorted on stage not by her beau Salman, but by Shah Rukh Khan.

Earlier that night, she had also performed on stage, to a single she has released with Himesh Reshammiya. An appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show followed.

Industry observers noted that Iulia, who had so far seemed content to be in the background at the Khan family’s events, finally seemed ready to emerge into the spotlight.

“It’s the very first show for both, the brand and me, in India and it cannot get better than this. I have always loved the collection at Splash. The idea of being ‘in love with fashion’ totally resonates with me,” Iulia had previously said in a statement.
