Bigg Boss 10 winner: Manveer Gurjar triumphs; Bani J finishes in second place

And as the 10th season of Colors TV’s Bigg Boss ends, so do our updates from the show. Bani and Manveer switched off the lights in the Bigg Boss 10 house, and stepped out, their dream run having reached a fitting conclusion.

Noida boy Manveer Gurjar, the owner of a dairy farm, was the very first contestant to make it to the Bigg Boss 10 finale week. And he has finally won the season as well.

And what a moment it is, for the contestant who began as part of the non-celebrity ‘Indiawale’ team, but soon became a star in his own right, thanks to his journey on the show,

Which means…

Manveer Gurjar is the WINNER of Bigg Boss season 10.

It’s the final few minutes of Colors TV’s Bigg Boss 10. 

And we can confirm that VJ Gurbani Judge — popularly known as Bani J — is the first-runner up (second overall). While this is no doubt a crushing blow to her many fans, it’s been a great journey for the contestant.

It’s an emotional moment for Bani and Manveer, for more reasons than one.

While the official announcement is still awaited, it is by now common knowledge as to who has won the 10th season of Bigg Boss 10.

Salman informs Bani and Manveer that they’ve crossed previous levels of popularity for Bigg Boss contestants. Salman shows them how fan support was drummed up for both of them outside the BB house.

It is now down to the wire for Bani Judge and Manveer Gurjar. The stress levels in the Bigg Boss house are rising as the duo waits to find out which one of them will walk away with the trophy and the Rs 40 lakh cash prize.

And Salman confirms Lopamudra Raut is the second runner-up for season 10! Lopa leaves the house, as Bani and Manveer wait to find out who has won. And so Lopa’s journey on BB10 has come to an end.

But for some reason, when Salman announces Lopa’s name, she isn’t convinced she’s really the winner.

Sohail Khan and Neha Dhupia have visited the sets. At Neha’s question as to whether or not they were mischievous as children, Sohail recounted an incident when Arbaaz, Salman and he got into a stone fight. Salman and Arbaaz turned tail and ran when a stone hit Sohail!

Salman proves he’s a hit with the kids when these little stars come calling.

Salman says they’ll soon be announcing the name of the second runner-up (overall third), whose turn it will then be to leave the Bigg Boss 10 house.

The three finalists, meanwhile, have a long wait in store before they find out who among them will be the luckiest.

Meanwhile, Hrithik and Yami have bid adieu to the Bigg Boss 10 finale. But not before taking a selfie with Salman!

In the first contestant performance of the night, Manu and Manveer have taken to the stage. Meanwhile, they’ve been joined on stage by the third contestant of their trio (M3) — Mona Lisa aka Antara Biswas.

The finalists now get to interact with Yami and Hrithik via Jio TV. They seem to be in splits as Hrithik asks Bani, Lopa and Manveer a bunch of tongue-in-cheek questions.

Salman has now asked a blindfolded Hrithik to identify his Kaabil co-star Yami Gautam from among a bevy of ladies — and one gent!

The Kaabil team has now come on the show: Salman introduces Hrithik Roshan to the audience as his ‘chhota bhai’ from his Karan Arjun days. Hrithik tells the audience that Salman was a major source of encouragement during his days as a newcomer.

And now Salman wants Hrithik to dance with him on stage!

Salman now informs the viewers that Manu has made the right choice: The vote count put him at fourth place in the contest.

But who among Lopa, Bani or Manveer will now have the highest number of votes?

And Manu Punjabi has now been shown to walk away with the Rs 10 lakhs. He is now officially out of the running.

Salman informs the contestants that all the votes cast for them hav been tallied. Now it’s merely a question of announcing the winner’s name.

Waiting for their turn on stage are the performers for the night — Colors Tv’s top actors, including Naagin star Mouni Roy.

Salman reminds the finalists that the winner will only take home Rs 40 lakhs — not the usual 50.

But there’s a major twist for these four: and as we told you earlier, Salman will now clearly offer one of the contestants the chance to exit the contest with Rs 10 lakhs.

Salman is now giving the finalists a ‘final task’: To get up to date with the news they’ve missed. Bani, Lopa, Manveer and Manu are learning for th first time about demonetisation and the note ban; Donald Trump’s win in the US Presidential elections; MS Dhoni’s resignation as the captain of the Indian national cricket team; about Jayalalithaa’s death, the blockbuster success of Dangal.

The news update that got the most hoots from the contestants: That disgraced contestant Swami Om was pummeled on a TV show where he made an appearance.

Speaking about his journey, Manveer Gurjar got emotional. He talked about how surviving in the Bigg Boss house for over 100 days made him realise how insignificant were the tiffs he’d had with his family members. He said he felt more capable of dealing with other people’s habits and quirks after his time in the house.

Bani, Manu and Lopa also talked about how they had traversed their three months in the Bigg Boss house. Lopa said she’s learnt to control her temper after her Bigg Boss stint!

The finalists’ friends and families are now talking about Bani, Lopa, Manu and Manveer, as individuals.

It’s now time for a jazzy introduction to the four finalists (Manu’s ouster, as reported by us, has not been telecast yet). Manveer, Manu, Bani and Lopa have made their entrances on the stage.

Public support seems to be pouring in for Bani and Manveer on social media.

Salman is now engaging in some good-natured ribbing of the contestants who were evicted. He teased Rohan and Karan Mehra about their spiked hairdos, wondering if their hair was standing on end because they were still in shock over their evictions! He asked Nitibha and Lokesh about what life has been like after they left the show.

Even before the Bigg Boss 10 grand finale kicked off, there was some high drama as controversial contestant Swami Om, who was forcibly evicted for urinating on fellow contestants, was reportedly detained by the Lonavla police while making his way to the sets. Om had previously threatened to disrupt the grand finale and harm celebrity host Salman Khan. However, Lonavla police did not confirm whether or not they had Om in custody.
