On Monday, reports surfaced suggesting that Elvish not only admitted to his crimes but informed that he knew the people who were taken into custody last year in connection with the same case. A police source, in a conversation with NDTV, said that the YouTuber ‘admitted to arranging snakes and snake venom’ at rave parties organised by him in the past. An insider also informed the portal that Elvish “admitted that he had met the accused at different rave parties and was in contact with them.”

With his confession, Elvish will now be charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act which deals with buying and selling of drugs. Reportedly, it is not easy to get bail under this law.

Elvish’s arrest came months after his name popped up in connection with the snake venom case. Earlier in November last year, a group of 5 people was arrested in connection with the case. The police even conducted a raid in Noida Sector 49 during which it recovered nine snakes, including five cobras, and about 20 ml of snake venom. The case was lodged against people involved in the same under provisions of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and for criminal conspiracy under Section 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

The group, following their arrest, claimed that snakes and snake venom were supplied to Elvish for his parties. Elvish, concerned with the same, was questioned on November 7, 2023, and he refuted the claims saying that the snakes were supplied to the rave party in Noida by singer Fazilpuria. On Sunday, March 17, Elvish was taken into judicial custody where he confessed his crime.
