Varun Dhawan, who is currently busy in the promotions of his upcoming biggie Baby John, recently opened up about doing a movie like Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, which turned out to be a humongous blockbuster but garnered criticism for its misogynistic approach.
Sharing his thoughts, the Badlapur actor said that he would have been uncertain about this kind of project at that time. “I’m not the guy who lets cinema influence his moral compass. But I don’t know how I would have reacted back then if it had come my way. I’d have given it more thought, maybe. Sandeep thinks differently. He’s a guy I definitely would want to work with,” said Dhawan talking to GQ India with further expressing his desire to work with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga. He also admitted to having mixed feelings about doing the roles, which promote, ‘problematic narratives’.
