On the professional front, Amitabh Bachchan is basking in the success of Kalki 2898 AD, which grossed over Rs 1000 crore at the global box office. The film also featured Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani in prominent roles with cameos of Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur, SS Rajamouli and Ram Gopal Varma. It is directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame.

The actor will also share screen space with Rajinikanth in _Vettaiyan_ in Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Jisshu Sengupta, Ritika Singh and Dushara Vijayan. The film is directed by T. J. Gnanavel of Suriya’s Jai Bhim fame. Vettaiyan will hit the screens during the Diwali weekend.
