With some major plans, social Networking site Twitter is all set to spread its wings in India.

According to a Hindu Business Line report today, Twitter has taken three new offices in Mumbai.

The company’s main Mumbai office is in office space owned by real estate firm Regus in Mumbai’s upmarket Peninsula Business Park, Lower Parel. Now, it plans to open offices inThane and Vashi too, which comes just after it recently opened a new office in Bangalore.

And it’s not just swanky offices, Twitter India is on a recruitment drive and plans to hire from rival firms Google and Facebook to help boost sales in Delhi and Mumbai.

The micro-blogging site has also changed its top executives in the country recently.

Two months back Twitter appointed Parminder Singh as Managing Director India, South-East Asia and Middle-East-North-Africa. Before that,former Director of Knight Foundation, Rishi Jaitly, was hired as Twitter’s India Market Director.

Recently former journalist Raheel Khursheed, was hired as the head of news, politics and government in Twitter India.

Twitter had about 20 million users in India according to report released a few months back by market research firm IMRB and the Internet and Mobile Association of India.The company estimates its current user base in India is about 22 million.

To widen its user base, Twitter has also partnered with phone directory application Truecaller.Under the partnership, Truecaller users in India will be able to see if a number is connected with a Twitter account, and will allow users to able to tweet or follow a person directly through the Truecaller app.
