The earnings season kickstarted with better-than-expected numbers from Infosys . The erstwhile IT bellwether reported a 19.4 percent on-quarter rise in profits in the third quarter and raised its FY14 revenue guidance .
SD Shibulal, CEO, Infosys said the next fiscal is going to be an “exciting” as client confidence is seen returning.
When asked why nine top level executives exited Infosys after founder Naranyana Murthy returned to the company, Shibulal told CNBC-TV18: “They have different aspirations and ambitions.”
According to Shibulal, some of the senior management had larger aspirations than what Infosys could offer.
“Infosys has a large pool of leaders but finally there is only one spot at the top,” he said.
He, however, added that the management transition has been smooth.
Over the past seven months, the Bangalore-based company has lost at least nine senior-level executives, including board member V Balakrishnan and global manufacturing head Ashok Vemuri.
The company has also been struggling to retain talent in mid and junior levels.
