Budget carrier GoAir today launched a discount offer with one-way tickets starting from Rs 1,299. The offer comes close on the heels of another discount offer the airline had launched a week back with fares starting at Rs 999.
The offer launched today is valid for tickets booked on March 28-30 for travel between June 23 to October 31, the company said in a press release.
“We had an overwhelming response to this offer over the last weekend. A lot of customer feedback was received to continue with the offer. We’re therefore delighted to repeat this offer of special affordable fares," Manoj Dharmani, Vice President – Sales & Marketing, GoAir, said in the press release.
The domestic carriers have been on a discount ticket sale spree which helped the air traffic log a healthy 21.48 percent growth in February over the same period last year.
Eight Indian carriers — three full service, four budget and one regional — together ferried 122.61 lakh passengers during the reported period as against 100.93 lakh passengers flown by them in February last year, according to data released by DGCA.
Jet Airways had 19.8 percent of the market share during the month while SpiceJet and GoAir cornered 9.2 percent and 8.9 percent, respectively.
