Spice Mobile recently launched a TV-led campaign that was based on the proposition ‘Milaye Sapnon Se’.
The first TVC, ‘Discus Thrower’ released about a month back, and now Spice Mobiles has released a second TVC in the same campaign. Ogilvy has conceptualized the TVCs.
Titled ‘Ballet’, the TVC shows a young girl who encounters a ballet figurine by chance and gets completely fascinated; she dreams of being a ballerina, too. She wants to learn how to dance like the figurine and begins teaching herself with the help of her brother’s Spice Mobile smartphone. She practises everywhere, on building terraces, in school, in empty rooms for her one big grand performance. Over time, she perfects her ballet steps and is ready for the big show.

Speaking about the campaign, Azazul Haque and Mahesh Gharat, group creative directors, Ogilvy India said, “We needed a story that’s charming, real, fascinating, fresh and most importantly something that can connect with the dreams of small town youth of this nation. And today’s small town youth wants to experiment, explore, try out new things. Unlike before, they are now exposed to literally an entire world of possibilities because of smartphone technology. They are exposed to new dreams. And Spice Smartphones is here to connect them with that dream world.
