Unimpressed by the Aam Aadmi Party’s way of functioning, Ajay Piramal, chairman, Piramal group, in an interview with CNBC-TV18 said that the party’s economic policies are disastrous for the country.
“Look at what they are doing to the power sector for instance. They are reducing all the prices of power due to which power rates in two other states have come down . This is not what we want. What we want is really good supply of power. We want power availability all over the country. See the situation of the discoms, they are in such huge losses,” he told CNBC-TV18’s Menaka Doshi at Davos during the World Economic Forum.
When asked about the emergence of AAP and what kind of influence they will have on the current political dispensation. Pirmal said he was encouraged to the extent that democracy is speaking out but not with AAP.
“I have seen that whatever the AAP first said before they got elected into power and now what they are saying is totally different,” he added.
