Ferrari has unleashed its beefier F 12 upgrade called the Ferrari 812 Superfast, ahead of the Geneva Motor Show. The supercar powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine is also the most powerful one, the automaker has ever produced and is expected to sell well over a 2,40,000 GBP expected price tag.

A glance at the Ferrari Superfast 812 from the front and it looks like an upgraded F 12tdf. Look at it from the side, it gets hard to tell where the inspiration for that sculpted body actually comes from.

However, according to Ferrari, this gorgeous grand tourer does come from 1969 365 GTB4 ‘Daytona’ but shares internals similar to the F 12, with a bump up in performance. Under the bonnet of the 812 Superfast sits a bigger 6.5-litre V12 which produces 789bhp without any hybrid nonsense. It achieves maximum power at 8,500rpm with 718Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. Power goes to the rear wheens via a dual-clutch transmission.

All of this is enough to catapult this GT from 0-62mph in just 2.9 seconds. The top speed is said to be in excess of 211mph. Indeed this makes the Superfast a bit faster than the F 12 if not entirely fast.
