Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 leaks out in digital renders hinting at dual cameras and 'near bezel-less' 18:9 display

Digital renders of the much anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 have leaked on the internet giving us a glimpse at what we can hope to expect from the device when it launches in coming weeks.

The renders indicate that **Xiaomi** has updated the design of the device to ensure that it marks all the checkboxes to bring design elements from the mid-tier line-up to the Redmi Note series.

According to a report by TargetYouTube, Redmi Note 5 is likely to come in a design that is similar to the one from **Xiaomi Mi Mix 2**. This extended from the 18:9 display panel with almost no bezels to the layout of the camera and fingerprint sensor on the back of the device. The report also hints that Xiaomi will pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC along with a 5.9-inch display, FHD+ resolution and up to 4 GB RAM.

Redmi Note 5 is likely to come with 64 GB internal storage and a configuration of 16 MP and 5 MP camera sensors on the back of the device while the front camera will come with an 8 MP camera sensor.

One thing to note is that Xiaomi has not announced any official statement about Redmi Note 5 so we should take these renders and specification predictions with a grain of salt. But if the company does manage to bring this design down to a budget smartphone, then it will be an achievement for a company to deliver a design that users can only hope to get after purchasing mid-premium smartphones.
