One man was killed and three others were injured in a car-ramming and stabbing attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Tuesday, the Israeli military and ambulance service said, describing the incident as a terror attack.
The Israeli military said in a statement that two attackers were also killed by soldiers. It added that explosive materials were found in the attackers’ vehicle and were being neutralised by bomb disposal teams. No group immediately claimed responsibility.
The attack occurred between Bethlehem and Hebron at a busy junction leading to the cluster of Israeli settlements known as the Etzion bloc. According to the Israeli ambulance service, a 30-year-old man died from a stab wound, while a woman was in serious condition and a man and a boy were moderately injured.
The incident comes as tensions remain high amid the Gaza war, where a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas has held since October 10. In the West Bank, Palestinians have faced tightened military restrictions alongside a spike in violent attacks by Jewish settlers.
Israel is under growing international pressure to contain settler violence. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Monday he would urgently convene cabinet ministers to ensure Israelis involved in recent attacks on Palestinians are brought to justice.
On Monday, Israeli settlers torched homes and vehicles in Jab’a, a Palestinian village near Bethlehem, following an earlier attack on property and civilians in the nearby village of Sa’ir, WAFA reported, citing officials.

Home to 2.7 million Palestinians, the West Bank remains central to long-standing proposals for a future Palestinian state alongside Israel. Successive Israeli governments, however, have encouraged rapid settlement expansion, further fragmenting the territory.
