The video was shared by the White House on social media platform X’s official handle.

Billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk also reacted to the video, saying, “Haha, wow.”

The term ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. In layman’s language, it is used to describe something relaxing or calming.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) initially posted the video of the deportation flight, which was about to take off from Seattle.

As the video surfaced on social media, many people criticised the announcement as “crass entertainment” and “disgusting.” However, others posted supportive comments.

Some users have compared this public display to the cruel practices of oppressive regimes in the past.

Illegal migrants are being sent to their home countries while being chained and handcuffed. The Indian Express reported that deportees are being restrained and subjected to mental torture during their return flights.

So far, three US military aircraft carrying illegal Indian migrants have landed in Amritsar, with many alleging they were handcuffed and chained throughout the journey. As per multiple reports, some Sikh deportees were allegedly deprived of their turbans during the process.

Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) refers to a tingling sensation, often starting on the scalp and moving down the neck and spine, triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli. Many individuals find ASMR content, such as videos featuring whispering or tapping sounds, helpful for relaxation and stress reduction.
