Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni was spotted rolling her eyes as she whispered with French President Emmanuel Macron during a G7 roundtable meeting in Canada.
Videos of Meloni’s iconic eyeroll have gone viral on the internet. The clips show Macron whispering to Meloni’s ear as she leaned towards him to listen. It is however, not clear, what they were discussing.

Meloni has previously been caught on camera making dramatic gestures, including an incident in 2024 when then-President Joe Biden and NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg were late to a NATO meeting. According to the New York Post, Meloni was seen checking an imaginary watch on her wrist before rolling her eyes at other world leaders.
Meloni also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the G7 Summit, videos of which also took the internet by storm. After their meeting, the Italian prime minister posted a picture with PM Modi on X that said, “Italy and India, linked by a great friendship.”

Their warm interactions have frequently captured public attention. At the COP28 summit in Dubai, Meloni shared a selfie with Modi, playfully captioned “Good friends at COP28, #Melodi.” Similar moments during the G20 summit in India also went viral, with social media users editing videos of the two leaders set to Bollywood music and humorous captions.
