Iran unleashed a new round of missile strikes as the morning broke in Israel’s Tel Aviv. On Friday night, Iran launched Operation True Promise 3 under which it hurled ballistic missiles over several parts of Israel, including the country’s capital, Tel Aviv. The videos circulating online show bright light taking over the sky as Israel’s Iron Dome tries to prevent infiltration from Iranian drones and missiles.

The Iranian strikes were in retaliation for Israel’s Operation Rising Lion, in which the Jewish nation targeted Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure, eliminating the country’s top military brass.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said that it struck two Iranian air force bases used for missile and drone operations on Friday. They include the Hamadan air base in western Iran, the Tabriz air base, and a surface-to-surface missile launch site in the northwest of the country.

Following the Iranian attack, Israel’s Defence Minister, Israel Katz, said late Friday that Iran had “crossed red lines” by firing at civilian population centres and vowed it would pay a “very heavy price.” Iran said it would intensify its attacks on Israel and target the regional bases of any country that tries to defend it. Netanyahu warned Iran on Friday that “more is on the way.”
