Dismissing the rumours of removing FBI chief Kash Patel, US President Donald Trump praised him saying “He’s doing a good job.” Trump quashed a media report that claimed that he was replacing Patel with top FBI official Andrew Bailey as federal agency’s chief.
White House Press Secretary Karolin Leavitt called the report ‘fake’ and said that when the story came out, Trump was in the White House and meeting Patel.
Karoline posted a photo of Kash Patel and Trump stating that the story is all made up, and wrote, “This story is completely made up. In fact, when this Fake News published, I was in the Oval Office, where President Trump was meeting with his law enforcement team, including FBI Director Kash Patel. I read the headline to the President and he laughed. He said: ‘What? That’s totally false. Come on Kash, let’s take a picture to show them you’re doing a great job!’ Do not believe the Fake News!.”

Patel came under fire for his handling of bureau resources, over the use of taxpayer resources, particularly his use of a government jet for personal trips and assigning an elite SWAT team detail to protect his girlfriend, as reported by MS NOW.
