 "Trump announces first US oil refinery in 50 years, thanks Reliance")
Amid tensions in West Asia, US President Donald Trump has announced a remarkable 300 billion US Dollars partnership with India’s Reliance Industries Ltd on Tuesday and thanked India for its privately held energy company. He described it as a historic investment to build the first ever oil refinery in the US in 50 years.
Taking to his Truth Social platform, he informed that the refinery will be built in Brownsville, Texas, as part of a USD 300 billion deal aimed at boosting American energy production and strengthening economic ties with international partners and called it a massive win for Americans.
Trump thanked India
“Thank you to our partners in India, and their largest privately held Energy Company, Reliance, for this tremendous Investment,” Trump said in his post.
The announcement comes amid tensions in West Asia, involving Iranian strikes on regional energy infrastructure and military bases, which has severely disrupted global oil supplies through the Strait of Hormuz.
“America is returning to REAL ENERGY DOMINANCE,” Trump said. “Today I am proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the FIRST new US Oil Refinery in 50 YEARS in Brownsville, Texas."
Donald Trump said the refinery would strengthen US national security and boost fuel supplies for both domestic markets and exports.
Cleanest refinery in the world
Trump claimed that the new refinery planned at the Port of Brownsville will deliver billions of dollars in economic impact, and called it the cleanest refinery in the world.
A new Refinery at the Port of Brownsville, will fuel U.S. Markets, strengthen our National Security, boost American Energy production, deliver Billions of Dollars in Economic impact, and will be THE CLEANEST REFINERY IN THE WORLD,” Trump wrote.
