In the 2024 General Election, Suella Braverman is standing as the Conservative candidate for Fareham and Waterlooville in the 2024 General Election. Suella has represented the people of Fareham since 2015, being re-elected in 2017 and 2019, on both occasions increasing the share of the vote for the Conservatives.

She has held roles including serving on the Education Select Committee, acting as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Treasury, and serving as a Brexit Minister until her resignation in November 2018 due to objections to the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement. In February 2020, Prime Minister Boris Johnson appointed her to the Cabinet as Attorney General, a position she held until September 2022.

Suella made a little bit of history in 2021 as the first Cabinet Minister to have a baby in office. A new law, known as ‘Gabriella’s Law’ in honour of my daughter, has been enacted to allow me to take maternity leave and resume my position afterward. From September 2022 to November 2023, she served as Home Secretary, appointed by both Prime Ministers Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak. Her main focuses included halting small boat crossings across the Channel, implementing common-sense policing, and ensuring the safety of the British population.
