Immediately after endorsing former US President Donald Trump, Tesla CEO went on a social media rampage, slamming Secret Services officers responsible for Trump’s safety. The billionaire lambasted the Director of Secret Service, Kimberly Cheatle, by taking pot-shots at her credentials.
“So before being in charge of protecting the President, she was guarding bags of Cheetos …,” Musk wrote on X, formally known as Twitter. He was commenting on a tweet which highlighted the past credentials of Cheatle.
The provocative remarks from the billionaire came just hours after the former president was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania. After the attack, Trump was seen covered in blood while he was getting escorted off stage by security services. The incident sent shockwaves across the United States making many condemn the culture of political violence which is grappling with the modern world.

The Tesla CEO took to X, formally known as Twitter to make his stance very clear on the matter. “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery," he wrote in his post. Musk’s formal endorsement of Trump was indeed sudden but not surprising. The SpaceX CEO drifted rightwards soon after US President Joe Biden took over the Oval Office. Over the last year, Trump’s allies have been seeking the endorsement and financial support of Musk because of his cult-like influence online.
