At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad were killed early Monday when a bus travelling from Mecca to Madinah crashed into a diesel tanker near Mufrihat in Saudi Arabia. Here is the list of all the passengers onboard the bus.

Saudi Arabia crash tragedy: 42 Indian pilgrims killed in bus–tanker collision; govt releases full passenger list

At least 42 Indian Umrah pilgrims from Hyderabad were killed early Monday when a bus travelling from Mecca to Madinah collided with a diesel tanker near Mufrihat in Saudi Arabia.

The impact of the crash was severe, leading to multiple fatalities and several injuries, according to initial reports. Emergency teams and local authorities rushed to the spot to carry out rescue and relief operations. Officials are still verifying the exact toll and working to identify the victims.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he was “deeply saddened” by the accident, offering condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. He said the Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate in Jeddah were providing all possible assistance and that Indian officials were in close touch with Saudi authorities. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured.

According to preliminary information, the bus was carrying pilgrims who had completed their rituals in Mecca and were travelling to Medina. Local residents were the first to reach the crash site and assist rescue teams. Saudi authorities are expected to release a formal toll once the identification process is complete.

The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia confirmed the incident and issued emergency helpline numbers.

“In view of a tragic bus accident near Madina involving Indian Umrah pilgrims, a 24x7 control room has been set up at the Consulate General of India in Jeddah,” the embassy said.
