Quad nations launch 'Quad Cyber Challenge' to improve cyber security

New Delhi: In order to improve cyber security across their nations, the QUAD countries have launched a public campaign ‘Quad Cyber Challenge’ and invited Internet users across the Indo-Pacific and beyond to become part of the challenge and practice “safe and responsible cyber habits. The ‘Quad Cyber Challenge’ shows the continuous efforts of Quad nations to bolster cyber security awareness and action and to foster a more secure and resilient cyber ecosystem to benefit economies and users. “The Internet users are being invited across the Indo-Pacific and beyond to join the Challenge and pledge to practice safe and responsible cyber habits," the National Security Council Secretariat said in the press release. “The Challenge reflects the continuing Quad efforts to strengthen individuals’ and communities’ cyber security awareness and action, as well as to foster a more secure and resilient cyber ecosystem to benefit economies and users everywhere," National Security Council Secretariat said in an official release. On Wednesday, the Quad also announced the launch of a public campaign to improve cyber security in these four nations. The group initiative reflects the Quad’s continuing efforts to strengthen people’s cyber security awareness and action as well as to foster a more secure and resilient cyber ecosystem to benefit economies and users everywhere, it had said in an official statement. Quadrilateral Security Dialogue or Quad comprising India, United States, Japan and Australia. It is an informal strategic forum and one of the primary objectives is to work for a free, open, prosperous and inclusive Indo-Pacific region. The QUAD met for the first time in 2007 on the sidelines of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
