Putin to visit India, Kremlin says dates to be announced soon

Russian President Vladimir Putin will soon visit India, the Kremlin confirmed on Tuesday. The schedule of his trip is currently being worked out.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that the exact dates of Putin’s visit will be announced soon, according to Sputnik News.

“I hope soon we’ll work out the precise dates of his visit… Of course, after two visits of Prime Minister Modi to Russia, now we have a visit of President to India, so we’re looking forward to it,” the spokesperson said.

In Kazan, PM Modi invited Putin to visit India for the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit.

Meetings between PM Modi and Putin highlight the strengthening of bilateral relationships between India and Russia.

PM Modi last month said that his two visits to Russia in the last three months reflect close coordination and deep friendship between the two countries and he looks forward to taking part in the BRICS Summit.

The last time Putin came to India was in 2021 for the 21st edition of the India-Russia Annual Summit. During this visit, held the first meeting of the 2+2 Dialogue of Foreign and Defence Ministers and the meeting of the Inter-Governmental Commission on Military & Military-Technical Cooperation in New Delhi.
