Karachi: In Pakistan’s unrest-ridden Balochistan province, a bomb blast on Friday damaged a shop in a busy market, injuring at least 20, according to police. The incident took place in a sweet shop inside a busy market in Balochistan’s Kohlu district.

The explosion had happened in a candy store that was part of a busy market in Kohlu town’s main bazaar. According to a senior police official, 20 people have already sustained injuries, and each of them has been taken urgently to the local hospital.

Terror attacks, including suicide and remote-controlled bomb blasts, are a frequent menace in the Balochistan province with militants and insurgents not even sparing civilians in their bid to create unrest and hit security forces and installations.
