Gaza talks: Hamas may release Israeli hostages on Saturday, IDF to start pulling back troops in 24 hours

The West Asia crisis came to an agreement as peace talk escalated between Israel and Gaza brokered by Trump ending the Gaza war. The hostages in Gaza are set to be released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners, marking a significant step towards lasting peace.

Ending the Israel-Hamas tensions, the Israeli Defence forces welcomed the agreement reached between the two nations to end the war in Gaza. The release of hostages held in Gaza in return of the Palestine prisoners will be done overnight as the IDF posted on X.  

The signing of this agreement under the US President Donald Trump, was a long-awaited breakthrough that gave end to the two-year war happening in the Gaza strip. In the West Asia crisis, Trump announced a ceasefire that reached the first phase of his plan to end the deeply circulating war. The mediation talks advised that Israel will pull back their troops from the site of destruction.

Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, “All of the hostages will be released very soon, Israel will withdraw their troops to be agreed upon as the first steps towards a strong, durable and everlasting peace.”

“Thank God for the ceasefire, the end of bloodshed and killing," said Abdul Majeed abd Rabbo, a man in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis.

This proved to be a successful completion for the US President as he swiftly delivered and managed the long conflict, both in Gaza and in Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The bloodshed came to an end as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would convene his government on Thursday to approve the agreement.

Hostage release imminent in few days

Families and relatives of the hostages held in Gaza gathered in the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv after the announcement. “President Trump, thank you very much. We thank him, our children will not have returned home without him”, said Hatan Angrest, whose son Matan is among the hostages.

On the telephonic conversation between Netanyahu and Trump congratulated each other on this historic win. Netanyahu invited the US President to address Israel’s parliament as reported by the Israeli Prime Minister’s office.
