'India, UK are natural partners on critical minerals, defence, and education,': PM Modi after talks with Starmer
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to hold bilateral talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who landed in Mumbai on Wednesday for his first official visit to India.  Reuters

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that nine universities from the UK will open campuses in India. This comes during UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s visit, which Modi said shows a fresh boost in India-UK relations after their recent Free Trade Agreement.

Modi also shared that the Gurugram campus of Southampton University has already opened, and the first students have enrolled. The UK education delegation with Starmer is the largest so far.

Besides education, the UK will help train Indian Air Force flying instructors, Modi said.
