As Vice President continues to be ahead of Donald Trump in pre-election, his running mate JD Vance has found a new enemy: fake polls.
After crying about a deep state pitched against their far-right Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement to attacking the press for conspiring against them, the Trump campaign has now turned to pollsters.
After the latest Washington Post-ABC poll showed that Harris at 49 per cent was ahead of Trump who polled just 45 per cent, Vance dubbed it fake.
In an interview with Fox News, Vance said the media uses “fake polls” to undermine the Republican Party.
“The media uses fake polls to drive down Republican turnout and to create dissension and conflict with Republican voters. I’m telling you, every single person who’s watching this, the Trump campaign is in a very, very good spot. We’re gonna win this race,” said Vance.

Taking a page out of Trump’s playbook of peddling falsehoods in press appearances, Vance said there were many polls that showed Harris trailing.
“I think there are a lot of polls that show her stagnating and leveling off…If you see the numbers that we’re seeing and you actually talk to the American people, I feel extremely confident that we’re going to be in the right place come November,” said Harris.
