Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction Ryan Walters has teamed up with country singer Lee Greenwood to distribute Trump-endorsed “God Bless the USA” Bibles to classrooms statewide. Inspired by Greenwood’s iconic song “God Bless the USA,” this special Bible features the King James Version of the Bible alongside the texts of the U.S. Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and other foundational documents.

During his 2024 campaign, former President Donald Trump endorsed the “God Bless the USA Bible, saying, “You have to have it, for your heart, for your soul.” On Tuesday, he also shared a video on his Truth Social platform encouraging supporters to purchase the Bible, which draws inspiration from Greenwood’s patriotic anthem. Trump frequently uses the song at his rallies and has appeared alongside Greenwood at various events.

In a post, Trump wrote, “Happy Holy Week! Let’s Make America Pray Again. As we lead into Good Friday and Easter, I encourage you to get a copy of the God Bless the USA Bible,” directing followers to a website where the Bible is available for $59.99.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Ryan Walters, a Republican and Oklahoma Superintendent of Public Instruction, explained that he has partnered with Lee Greenwood to collect donations for “God Bless the USA” Bibles. These Bibles will be purchased “at no cost to the state” and distributed to classrooms.

Walters emphasised the importance of understanding Judeo-Christian values in American history, stating, “We’ve got to understand the Judeo-Christian values that were so crucial in American history … and I think a big part of that is getting the Bible back in the classroom.”

He revealed that over 500 of the Trump-endorsed Bibles have already been donated to classrooms across Oklahoma. Walters framed the initiative as a response to what he called “state-sponsored atheism,” accusing some teachers of erasing references to the Bible from American history.
