FBI Director Kash Patel has denied rumours that he plans to resign from his role in the Trump administration amid reported tensions in the Justice Department over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files.
In a post on X, Patel wrote, “The conspiracy theories just aren’t true, never have been. It’s an honor to serve the President of the United States @realDonaldTrump — and I’ll continue to do so for as long as he calls on me.”

Patel’s response followed a Daily Wire report claiming he was upset with Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of important documents related to the Jeffrey Epstein case. The report suggested Patel was considering resigning if his deputy, Dan Bongino, left the administration.
Journalist Mary Margaret Olohan posted on X, “Source close to DOJ says Kash Patel also wants Pam Bondi gone, and that he’d consider leaving if Bongino leaves.”
Right-wing commentator and Trump aide Laura Loomer also claimed there were ongoing tensions between the FBI and the Justice Department over how the Epstein files are being managed.
