‘It won’t work’: Israel debunks ‘fake news’ about ‘protest note’ to India, slams ‘haters’

The Israeli Embassy in New Delhi denied issuing any official note to the MEA regarding the alleged sexual assault of an Israeli soldier by an Indian Army officer, calling it “fake news.”

‘It won’t work’: Israel debunks ‘fake news’ about ‘protest note’ to India, slams ‘haters’

The Israeli Embassy in India, taking dig at “haters” of Israel-India friendship, strongly denied issuing any official note to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) regarding an Indian Army officer allegedly sexually assaulting an Israeli soldier during a joint military exercise in Jammu, calling the circulated allegation “fake news.”

In a firm statement, the embassy emphasised the strong relationship between India and Israel, stating that those spreading false information would not weaken the bond between the two countries.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the Israeli Embassy in India said, “Unbelievable! The bond between Israel and India is so solid, haters resort to fake news to try to harm it. It won’t work."

Earlier, on 24 April, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the phone to condemn the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal shared details of the call on X.
