How it went in England

The Conservative Party saw a dramatic decline, losing 237 seats and holding just 116. This marks the worst electoral performance for the Tories in modern times.
The Liberal Democrats have seen significant gains, capturing 65 seats, an increase of 59. Independent candidates and Reform UK have each made their mark, with Independents winning five seats and Reform UK securing four, all newly gained.
