Bangladesh authorities have identified three people believed to be involved in unrest near the residence of the Indian Assistant High Commissioner in Chattogram, officials confirmed on Monday, as per ANI. The government is working to calm tensions and strengthen law and order.
At a high-level meeting held at the State Guest House Jamuna, Bangladesh Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus reviewed the country’s overall security situation with senior officials. The gathering looked at several pressing issues, including protests, recent violence and preparations for the upcoming holiday season.

“We have identified three individuals who were involved in the unrest in Chattogram,” a police official told reporters, noting that the findings came from video footage reviewed by investigators. Officials are now moving quickly to locate and arrest them.
Broader security concerns discussed
The meeting also focused heavily on ongoing investigations into the killing of Sharif Osman Hadi, a spokesperson for Inqilab Mancha and a prominent activist in Bangladesh’s recent protests. Police have so far identified 31 suspects linked to attacks on media offices and cultural organisations across Dhaka. At least six people have already been arrested, with more expected as operations continue.

An official familiar with preparations for the holiday season, quoted by the ANI, said ensuring the security of foreign diplomats and residents is a “top priority” in the run-up to Christmas and New Year celebrations.
