Many children were injured in China’s Hunan province after a vehicle hit the entry gate of an elementary school on Tuesday morning.

The incident happened around 8 am (local time) where students were entering Yong’an Elementary School in the city of Changde for classes.

“Many schoolchildren were injured, the specific casualties are being investigated,” state broadcaster CCTV said.

It is, however, not clear yet whether the vehicle had lost control or it was a deliberate attack.
